![]() People are going to continue having gay children whom they don't want to see shamed into suicide, women are going to continue to observe what they perceive to be old-society disrespect, and Poles will continue to recognize that there are shitty Poles, and non-shitty foreigners. Polish society isn't magically going to move in a different direction than every other country on the planet, progressive politics are coming. If Polish Catholics don't respect the irreligious, they are going to create a conflict they have no chance of winning. ![]() If Catholicism wants to stay a part of Poland (a possibility I welcome, given free choice) it's going to have to reform, repent, and honestly renegotiate its place in Polish society. I have yet to see it, but as a non-religious Polish-Canadian, it hurts to know how wrong most Poles are about this issue, and I'm happy they're finally opening their eyes to this. If you don't want to admit fault, and you don't want to lie, but you are wrong, you have nothing left to do but stay silent.Ĭongratulations to the filmmakers for making this movie. What can they possibly say? They probably hate Pope Francis for even the meager apologies he has made so far. The right-wing is embarrassed, unsurprising.
